The temperatures are rising and with that comes breezy dresses, low maintenance hair styles, SPF and lots of skin!
The glowing beach babe look is HOT right now so here are some of the prettiest products to add to your arsenal this summer!
First off is the newest launch from Lawless Beauty! Aptly named “Summer Skin”, this Vacation Glow Multi Stick gives your body the glow it needs. Use it on your décolletage, shoulders, or anywhere you want a shimmering bronze look. It is available in two colors and retails for around $61.
Why we love it? Lawless is a clean beauty brand so you feel good knowing that high quality non toxic products are going on your skin, plus the products are fantastic!
Dior’s Lip Glow Oil is not new- but this shade in particular is perfect for soft juicy lips! It goes on so smooth your lips feel like butter and the light cherry tint means that a quick swipe is all it takes for a gorgeous low maintenance makeup look. It is a bit of a splurge at $40 but I pick mine up whenever I travel and there is a duty free store!
Why we love it? It’s available in 8 different shades which means there’s a color for everyone.
Next up is Iconic London “Kissed by the Sun” Multi-Use Blush & Bronzer. The genius of this is that is a bronzer, highlighter and blush all in one- which if you’re trying to be low maintenance, I don’t see how you can get any better than this! It comes in three gorgeous shades- the rosy gold pictured, plus a warm honey and a brighter pink version. It retails around $29
Why we Love it? It’s a pressed powder, however it has a creamy feel to it. It is also vegan and cruelty free!
Next up is something for your hair. The Guava Beach Waves Hair Texturizing Spray from Ceremonia is suitable for almost all hair types and gives you soft, voluminous, beachy waves. This texturizing salt spray infused with guava forms a natural UV barrier which helps to protect hair in addition to making your hair look fabulous! It retails for about $20
Why we love it? It comes in recyclable packaging and contains nothing harmful to the environment.
The Bronze Goddess Lumière Eye & Cheek Palette from Estee Lauder says it all in the name! Those beautiful purples and mauves along with the golds will make your eyes look incredible! Retailing around $60 it’s another splurge but one that will transition perfectly into fall as well.
Why we love it? Proudly made in the USA and it does double duty as a cheek highlighter too.
So looks are a little deceiving here, but this Rose Gold Sun Shield Body Glow from Kopari Beauty does not go on super glittery or even very shimmery. It does however give your skin a beautiful glow and it is SPF 45 so it’s the fanciest sunscreen I own!
I particularly love sunscreen oils because they make my skin look great and it goes on effortlessly. It comes in 3 colors and is about $39. This is best used on the body rather than the face
Why we love it? The Juicy guava and mango scent is not too strong yet it has the perfect beachy vibe.
I bought this based on the packaging alone! The Fenty Beauty Poutsicle Hydrating Lip Stain is just gorgeous! It goes on glossy yet stains the lips leaving behind a sheer tint of color. It comes in two bold shades and is part of the “Summatime Collection”. It retails for $27
Why we love it? It provides a low maintenance look and has buildable color which I love!
I am mildly obsessed with this shimmery swirly purple & blue nail polish from Nails Inc. It is a new generation of polish with 73% of its ingredients being plant based. It also features a sunlight UV reactive formula to boost glossiness and extend wear which, lets be honest, anything that can give me more beach time and less salon time is welcome! It also retails for around $10 which is a steal.
Why we love it? This award winning brand is on the forefront of innovation in the beauty industry which means beautiful colors and safe, cruelty free products.
I know it’s another “Iconic” product, but I couldn’t help myself. The Rollaway Glow is a liquid lighlighter, perfect for dewy summer skin. Sometimes on hot humid days, powder highlighters can just look cakey. This avoids the issue entirely! It retails for around $29.
Why we love it? It’s not glittery, which is great because we are not 16 anymore! But it is a pearly shimmer that reflects light leaving you with a gorgeous sun kissed glow.
This is on the go sunscreen. I am not one to reapply a liquid sunscreen over a made up face half way through the day, so this Glow Setting Mineral Powder from Supergoop is perfect to layer over makeup. It has a soft shimmery finish and an SPF rating of 35. It is around $35.
Why we love it? It is perfectly portable. Throw one in your purse, beach bag or car to ensure you are getting maximum protection throughout the day.
For those of us that REFUSE to tan our faces (that should include you too), Tan Luxe- The Face Self Tanning Drops are the most natural way to get a bronzed glow! Just add drops to your regular face serum or moisturizer for blendable, buildable color. It helps even out your skin tone and is infused with aloe and vitamin E. It retails for $22.50 and one bottle lasts ages.
Why we love it? You really have control over the color. Use less or more depending on your preference so you don’t all of a sudden look like you fell asleep in a tanning bed!
For those of us who don’t worship the sun, or do, but like to lounge in the shade, this is THE self tanner for your body. Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam is legit!
Australian’s know sun and beaches, so I put my trust in my countrymen to figure out the best way to fake it. When used with the applicator mitt it provides better and more even coverage. It is $30 for the tanner and the mitt together.
Why we love it? It’s Australian so you know it is quality (wink!) but it doesn’t turn you orange! Hallelujah!
Whether your tan is real or fake, glide this Pool Time Body Oil from Summer Fridays to really accentuate your glow! Macadamia, jojoba and apricot kernel oil leaves your skin baby soft and the ultra fine minerals glisten on the skin. It’s gives your body that overall sunkissed look which is just so perfect in the summer. It is $40 but a little goes a long way!
